Flying the Flag for Scotland
Coalburn Silver Band, the 2nd section Scottish Brass Band Champions will be entertaining in Lesmahagow on Thursday 8th September as they make final preparations prior to their trip to Cheltenham to represent Scotland in the National Championships.
The concert will take place at Woodpark Primary School, Priory Road, Lesmahagow, ML11 0AA starting at 7.30pm where the band will perform the set music for the competition, Images for Brass by Stephen Bulla. They will also feature some of their excellent soloists and showcase some new and exciting concert music.
The Silver Band will be joined on the night by our children’s band, the Coalburn Bronze Band who, as always will delight the audience with an entertaining and fun programme of music to suit every taste.
Also joining the bands will be the vocal talents of two local young women, Neve Crooks and Skye Watson and they will sing a selection of popular songs from various genres.
Entry to the concert is £5, payable on the night and there is free entry to all primary school children.
