Coalburn's Commonwealth Concerts
Coalburn Silver Band is delighted to present a series of three concerts to celebrate this summer’s Commonwealth games.
The concerts, entitled ‘A Concert for the Commonwealth’ begins on Friday 28th March where the band will perform in Blantyre at Livingstone Memorial Parish Church on Glasgow Road. Doors open at 7pm with a 7.30pm start. Tickets cost £5 and are available on the night.
Band president Alan Court commented ‘’this promises to be a fabulous series of concerts featuring music from all around the Commonwealth. We are delighted to share the concerts with our Children’s Band, Coalburn Bronze Band, our Intermediate Band and our wonderful vocalist Ross McLean’’
Following their visit to Blantyre the band will head to South Wishaw Parish Church on the evening of Saturday 10th May and finally to East Kilbride Old Parish Church on Friday 6th June.
