Coalburn Bands in Concert at Moncreiff
Coalburn Silver Band is preparing to perform in concert ahead of its appearance at the Scottish Championships. Under the baton of Musical Director Gareth Bowman, the band will play in Moncreiff Parish Church, Maxwellton Road, Calderwood, East Kilbride, on Saturday 5 March.
The evening, which will also feature the Intermediate and Bronze bands and guest vocalists Sian Campbell and Joanna Crossan, will see Coalburn Silver perform a programme including The Mermaid of Zennor, the 2nd Section test piece for the forthcoming Scottish Championships in Perth on Saturday 12 March. The Coalburn Intermediate Band will also be previewing their programme in preparation for their performance in Section 4B in Perth on Sunday 13 March.
Alan Court, Coalburn Band president, said: "We are absolutely delighted to be returning to Moncreiff for what promises to be a fabulous night of music making. The support from the people of East Kilbride was overwhelming last year and we look forward to a wonderful concert."
Doors open at 7pm, with the concert starting at 7.30pm. Admission is £6.
